In a quite corner of the village you will come across Chestnuts Guest House. Perfectly situated to make the most of Lake Windermere and its beautiful surrounding areas. We are only five minutes walk to Windermere village, ten minutes walk to Bowness village and fifteen minutes to Lake Windermere. Windermere train station is a short taxi drive or fifteen minutes on foot. We have private parking for all our guests and a charming garden. The Lodge in the Vale is our newly built Lodge Hotel stands proud on the outskirts of Keswick, at Legburthwaite, St Johns in the Vale. This lodge is unique seeing as no new builds are allowed in The Lake District anymore. The design, by local award winning architects Savage & Chadwick, fits perfectly into the beautiful landscape, utilising local traditional building features and materials, whilst having a light and airy contempory feel. This is achieved by a two story glass atrium at the heart of the building and the mixing of cedar wood cladding and local stone work under a Westmorland slated roof. The accommodation will be all en-suite with satellite TV, full range of internet access including broadband and wifi. The residents lounge has breathtaking views and has a feature fireplace with real fire. Conference facilities for up to 20 delegates are available. Parking is available on site with storage facilities for bikes, canoes and outdoor equipment. Rates include continental breakfast and transfers between The Lodge and The King's Head Hotel.
